A Los Angeles Kitchen Company Built On What Other Contractors Were Getting Wrong
Pro Kitchen Remodeling was founded in 2009 by Carlos Mendez, a third-generation builder from East Los Angeles who had spent years working inside large remodeling operations and watching homeowners get burned by vague contracts, surprise costs, absent project managers, and craftsmanship that looked good at the final walkthrough and fell apart two years later.
Carlos started this company with a different premise: that a kitchen remodeler in Los Angeles could operate with complete transparency, genuine accountability, and a level of craftsmanship that homeowners would tell their neighbors about years later, not complain about.
Fifteen years and 500+ kitchens later, that premise has proven itself across every neighborhood in Los Angeles County from Malibu beach homes to Pasadena craftsman bungalows, from mid-century modern homes in Silver Lake to family residences in Torrance and Long Beach.

Carlos Mendez launched Pro Kitchen Remodeling out of a single truck and a belief that homeowners deserved better than what most contractors were offering honest pricing, real communication, and craftsmanship that lasted.
CSLB General Contractor License Obtained
After completing state licensing requirements, we became a fully licensed and insured General Contractor in California a distinction that allowed us to handle complex structural work, full permit management, and multi-trade coordination in-house.
First 100 Kitchens Milestone
Within five years, we had completed over 100 kitchen remodels across Los Angeles County from small galley updates in Mid-City to full open-concept builds in the Westside. Each project sharpened our process and deepened our reputation.
3D Design Process Introduced
