This project started with a tight U-shape layout, lower cabinet height transitions, and aging finish materials that made the kitchen feel visually heavy. We opened the line of sight through the archway, redesigned storage around the refrigerator and wall oven stack, and replaced every major finish from cabinetry to flooring. The new painted maple shaker cabinets provide cleaner vertical lines and improved organization with deep drawers around the island and range wall.
Existing laminate and older stone surfaces were removed and replaced with quartz countertops for better durability and stain resistance, while the backsplash was updated to a herringbone tile pattern to keep texture subtle. We installed warm brass hardware, upgraded pendants and recessed lighting, and completed the appliance package with a stainless refrigerator, built-in microwave/oven stack, and gas cooktop. The result is a brighter, more functional kitchen with stronger prep flow and easier day-to-day upkeep.
